The Blonde Naso Surgeon is one of the most common ones among this hobby. The Dorsal fin is yellow with a blue line at the base and a black band above this; the anal and the pelvic fins are dark brown and the dorsal and anal fins have a narrow blue margin and a black submarginal line, the caudal fin is yellowish with a black upper and a lower margins and a submarginal black band posteriorly. In the wild occurs at a depth range between 5 '' 90 m, it is found in areas of coral, rock, or rubble of lagoon and seaward reefs.. Adults usually in small groups, juveniles in shallow rocky reefs, sometimes in small aggregations mixed with other acanthurids of its similar size. These particular fellows feed mainly on leafy brown algae (Sargassum and Dictyota) and sometimes form very large aggregations. This species usually acclimates quickly to aquarium life, plenty of hiding places and a varied diet is highly recommended. In captivity Tangs are Reef safe and very friendly to other tank-mates. It is important to say that multiple specimens can NOT be added into the same display. The Acclimation time should be between half to one and a half hour.
